Giving and Finances

We believe that giving should be free of pressure cheerful with a sense of together for the mutual benefit of one another. And because we do not raise money to support buildings, staff and programs; we focus our giving on supporting the needs of one another. There may be opportunities give offerings to support various issues both within and outside that we as a church feel  called to support as a body; but you should always do so freely and without compulsion, fear, or a sense of necessity.

BIBLICAL REFERENCES ABOUT GIVING

  • Giving is an expression of God's love. (1 John 3:17)

  • Give to support the work of the church. (Romans 12:13)

  • Give anonymously. (Matthew 6:4)

  • Give willingly and cheerfully. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

  • Give sacrificially. (Luke 3:10)

  • Give with a spirit of compassion and love. (Proverbs 3:27)

  • Set a goals to excel at giving. (2 Corinthians 8:7)

  • Give to those in need. (Matthew 25:34-40, James 2:15-16)

  • Examples of giving in the Bible. (Acts 2:44-45, Acts 4:34)

STUDY RESOURCES

Stewardship is the responsible management of that which belongs to another. God is the owner of everything, including our lives. This should motivate us to manage all that we have, including our life in a way the is pleasing and acceptable in God's sight.
